In February, the average PM2.5 concentration in 339 prefecture-level and above cities nationwide was 37.3 micrograms per cubic meter, down 16.4% year-on-year; the average PM10 concentration was 58 micrograms per cubic meter, down 7.9% year-on-year; the average O3 concentration was 97 micrograms per cubic meter, down 2.0% year-on-year; the average SO2 concentration was 8 micrograms per cubic meter, down 11.1% year-on-year; the average NO2 concentration was 21 micrograms per cubic meter, up 16.7% year-on-year; and the average concentration of CO was 1.0 milligrams per cubic meter, down 9.1% year-on-year.
In February, the average proportion of good air quality days in 339 prefectural-level and above cities nationwide was 90.1%, up 8.3 percentage points year-on-year; the average proportion of days with heavy and above pollution was 0.8%, down 3.2 percentage points year-on-year. The average proportion of days exceeding the standard caused by dusty weather was 2.0%, of which the proportion of heavily and above polluted days was 0.5%.

List of Top 20 and Bottom 20 Cities in Air Quality Ranking of 168 Key Cities in February 2025
In February, among the 168 key cities: the top 20 cities with better air quality were, in order, Lhasa, Guiyang, Zhangjiakou, Haikou, Ya'an, Huizhou, Huangshan, Shenzhen, Lishui, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Chengde, Zhuhai, Beijing, Zhoushan, Nanning, Suining, Dongguan, Chengdu, and Zhongshan City; and the bottom 20 cities with poorer air quality were, in order, Urumqi, Xianyang, Xi'an, Xiaogan, Anyang, Xiangyang, and Xuzhou, Luoyang, Heze, Hebi, Xinxiang, Xingtai, Weinan, Yuncheng, Linyi, Nanyang, Huaibei, Kaifeng, Luohe and Zaozhuang.
In February, among the 168 key cities: the top 20 cities with lower PM2.5 concentrations were Lhasa, Zhangjiakou, Haikou, Guiyang, Shenzhen, Huizhou, Chengde, Zhuhai, Datong, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Xiamen, Beijing, Baotou, Hohhot, Guangzhou, Shuozhou, Zhoushan, Ya'an, and Lvliang City in order; the bottom 20 cities with higher PM2.5 concentrations were Urumqi, Xiaogan, Xianyang, and Jingzhou in order, Xi'an, Luohe, Shangqiu, Nanyang, Anyang, Zhoukou, Xiangyang, Fuyang, Jingmen, Baoji, Xuchang, Huaibei, Kaifeng, Luoyang, Pingdingshan and Xinyang.
